Enviroschools is a nationwide environmental action based programme supported by Toimata Foundation, founding partner Te Mauri Tau, and a large network of regional partners. We are proud to hold the prestigious Green-Gold Enviroschool status.
In the Enviroschools programme, early childhood centres and schools commit to a long-term sustainability journey, where tamariki/students connect with and explore the environment, then plan, design and take action in their local places in collaboration with their communities. Young people are empowered to design and lead sustainability projects.
Our 2022 Enviroschools project is working with the Halo Project to plant trees at Long Beach. So far we have put in about 200 plants, for which we recently received an award from Keep Dunedin Beautiful (Dunedin Amenities Society - Best School Project Award: Commended).
